more lives than a cat

guess who's back... it says version 2.0, but it could be 3.0, 4.0, i don't know. i don't really care. the main thing is that while on hiatus the team at avenue took a long look at ourselves and we've tweaked a few things, changed a few things, added a few things and have a fresh new outlook on the business. so here's what's going on...

we're not accepting any more booking clients and we're slowly phasing out that part of avenue. we realized that the time and the patience it took was not worth the outcome. we still will be booking local shows around charlotte and rock hill - our most recent show, the Relay for Life Benefit show at Winthrop featured many old friends and a lot of good times - Baumer, Madison Fair, Ben Walker Radio, Eric Skelton & The Canyoneros.

but don't worry - avenue is still very much in the business of promotions, development and design for bands and artists across the genre spectrum.

we're also pleased to announce that avenue alumni
BOMBSHELL has signed with indianola records (evergreen terrace, monday in london, glory of this) and their new album, to hell with motives, is dropping next tuesday. these guys are great so go buy their new album here. other good news in the avenue family - avenue alumni THE LETTER RED will be releasing a new album this june and our old friends in THE VERDICT are back on the road so if you don't go see them, you're dead to us. and finally, saving the best for last MICHELLE ALLEN is getting married! does that make us your husband's new brother-in-law?

so things are moving and shaking here at avenue and there are some things on the horizon that are going to knock your socks off. stay tuned.
